Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Jillian Monzon Photography LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information you provide when visiting our website at https://www.jillianmonzonphotography.com or when you inquire about our wedding photography services.
We respect your privacy and will only use your information for the purposes described below.
Information We Collect
When you submit our inquiry form, we collect:
- Personal contact information: First name, last name, email address, and (optionally) phone number.
- Wedding information: Your wedding date or estimated season, venue or location, approximate guest count, and any details you share about your celebration.
- How you found us: Whether you came from a search engine, social media, a referral, or another source.
- Communications: Messages you send us through the form or in subsequent correspondence.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit our website:
- IP address
- Browser type and device information
- Pages viewed and time spent on the site
- Referring website (if any)
We use standard web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) for this. We may also use Microsoft Clarity, a session-analytics tool that records anonymized browsing sessions (clicks, scrolls, and page interactions) and generates heatmaps that help us improve the site. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide for these purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry: Sending you availability, pricing, and a response to any specific questions you asked.
- To send relevant follow-up communications: If you opted in to email follow-ups, we may send planning resources, reminders, and updates related to your wedding.
- To send text messages: Only if you specifically opted in to SMS, and only related to your inquiry and (if you book us) the planning and execution of your wedding day.
- To deliver photography services: If you book us, we use your contact information to coordinate your wedding day.
- To improve our services: We may use aggregated, anonymized data to understand how couples find us and what they care about.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We do not share your personal information with marketers or data brokers.
- We do not use your information for advertising outside our own communications with you.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent records are excluded from any sharing described in the next section, and are used only to deliver the messages you opted into.
Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to run our business — including email delivery, text messaging, customer relationship management, and analytics. These services have their own privacy policies and use your data only as needed to provide their services to us.
- Marketing infrastructure partner: Advocate Studio provides the technology that delivers our email and text communications, including the inquiry form on this site and the planning resources we send you. They process information on our behalf and do not use it for their own marketing.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: If our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under the same privacy protections.
How Long We Keep Your Information
- Inquiries that don't result in a booking: We retain your information for up to two years from your last contact with us, then delete it.
- Bookings and former clients: We retain your information for as long as needed to deliver our services and meet legal requirements (typically 7 years after your wedding for tax and business records).
- You can request deletion sooner: See “Your Rights” below.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Opt out of email or SMS communications at any time.
- Object to certain uses of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at photos@jillianmonzon.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
SMS and Email Communications
- Email: If you opted in, we may send you planning resources and follow-up emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Opting out only takes one click.
- SMS: If you opted in, we may text you about your inquiry or wedding. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out — we'll honor it immediately. Reply HELP for help.
- Frequency: We aim for restraint. You can expect roughly 6-10 emails total across the lifecycle of a wedding inquiry (welcome, planning resources at key milestones, post-wedding check-in, and an anniversary note). SMS is reserved for time-sensitive moments only.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- The right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
- The right to delete your personal information.
- The right to opt out of any “sale” of your personal information (we do not sell information).
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at photos@jillianmonzon.com.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Visitors
We are based in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
